Aqua Lymphatic Therapy

Description:

Participants:
15 therapists (i.e. manual lymph drainage therapists and physiotherapists, occupational therapists, fitness instructors, nurses, physicians.)
Prerequisite: Complete Decongestive Therapy Certification / Comlex Lymphatic Therapy(MLD & bandaging)
Course objectives: 
The lymphatic therapist will be able to implement the principles of the aqua lymphatic therapy with a group of lymphedema sufferers, while assessing the impact of the treatment on each patient and thereby tailoring programs to the individual. The therapists will be able to train their patients in aqua lymphatic therapy for self management of lymphedema
Course duration:      6 days (˝ day theory; ˝ day pool practice)

Complex Lymphatic Therapy

( CLT ) – Casley-Smith Method

Description:

Course Objective:
Participants will acquire knowledge about lymphedema and other edemas, principles of treatment for lymphedema and practical skills for planning and performing lymphedema treatment.
Upon completion of the course the participant will:
- understand the causes of edemas and lymphedemas
- differentiate between the different types of lymphedemas
- know the principles on which lymphedema therapy is based
- know the indications and contra-indications for lymphedema therapy
- know how to plan and apply Complex Lymphatic Therapy for lymphedema reduction and maintenance
