Esther Newman-Cohen has developed a style that is typically Israeli - as in all things Israeli, it is an amalgam of cultures. Her concept of design is based on the traditional Jewish design found in Sephardi Ketubot from the Golden Age of the Jews of Spain and from the Jewish communities of Morocco, Italy and Amsterdam. Whereas historically those artists painted on parchment with ink or dyes, art keeps pace with technology, providing for improved, modern techniques.
